Tammy 'Sunny' Sytch Facing Up To 25 Years In Prison After Pleading No Contest To DUI Charges

Tammy Sytch faces up to 25 years in prison

Tammy Sytch (AKA Sunny) faces up to 25 years in prison after pleading no contest to charges of DUI causing death.

Court documents obtained by TMZ revealed Sytch issued the plea on Wednesday after originally pleading not guilty to all charges. The case was set to go to trial on August 21.

In addition to pleading no contest to DUI causing death, she pleaded no contest to one felony charge of driving with a suspended license causing death, four misdemeanour counts of DUI with damage to a person, and two misdemeanour charges of DUI with damage to property. A sentencing hearing for Sytch has yet to be scheduled but she faces up to 25 years in prison.

Sytch has been in prison since May 13, 2022 after it was determined she was a significant risk to the public due to her history of DUI offences. Sytch has been arrested at least six times for impaired driving.

Sytch was charged with DUI causing death, one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a revoked driver's license, four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property last year. The charges came after a fatal car crash that Sytch was involved in on March 25, 2022 that resulted in the death of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter. Officers stated that Sytch's blood alcohol was over three-and-a-half times above the legal limit and an open bottle of vodka was found in her car at the scene.
