Linda McMahon's Attorney Claims WWE Ring Boys Lawsuit Is 'Baseless'

Linda McMahon is currently in the media spotlight after being picked for US Education Secretary by President-elect Donald Trump.

As news of the nomination broke, The Washington Post published a detailed look at Linda's political career, her role in the Trump administration and the scandals that have dogged the McMahon family in recent years.

The article noted that Linda McMahon was recently named (along with WWE and Vince McMahon) in a lawsuit filed by former WWE ring boys, alleging that defendants were fully aware of sexual abuse they suffered at the hands of WWE personnel decades ago.

Responding to the lawsuit, Linda McMahon's lawyer Laura Brevetti said in a statement: "This lawsuit based upon thirty-plus-year-old allegations is filled with scurrilous lies, exaggerations, and misrepresentations".

She further described it as "baseless".

Though it will not come as a shock to anyone who has been following the scandals surrounding Vince McMahon, Brevetti also confirmed that Linda and her husband are currently "separated".

While Linda looks set to be busy with her duties as a member of Trump's cabinet, Vince McMahon is reportedly at work on setting up an entertainment production company based in California.
