Liv Morgan Cashes In, Wins SmackDown Women's Title At WWE Money In The Bank

Liv Morgan is champion at WWE Money In The Bank!

Only hours after she won the Women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match, Liv Morgan is the new SmackDown Women's Champion.

Ronda Rousey successfully defended the SmackDown Women's Title against Natalya at Money In The Bank but she was left with a damaged knee after the match. Morgan ultimately chose to take advantage of the injury as she ended Rousey's celebrations and cashed in the Money In The Bank briefcase she had won earlier in the night.

The cash-in initially looked set to be disastrous as Rousey immediately applied an Ankle Lock to Morgan but Liv kicked out at Rousey's injured knee and rolled up the UFC Hall Of Famer to win the SmackDown Women's Championship.

With that, Morgan has captured her first title in WWE.

Rousey's reign as SmackDown Women's Champion, meanwhile, is over after just 55 days. Rousey won the gold in an "I Quit" Match from Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8 and she defended the belt against Raquel Rodriguez before her Money In The Bank match against Natalya.
