Liv Morgan Vs. Shayna Baszler Added To WWE Clash At The Castle
For the SmackDown Women's title
A match for the SmackDown Women's title has been announced for WWE Clash at the Castle, as champion Liv Morgan will defend her title against Shayna Baszler.
Baszler earned the title shot after winning a gauntlet match on Friday night's SmackDown in Greenville, SC, last eliminating Raquel Rodriguez.
Rodriguez won four matches in succession, eliminating Sonya Deville, Xia Li, Shotzi, and Natalya. Rodriguez nearly overcame Baszler, but was pinned following a rolling cradle.
In her two and a half years on WWE's main roster, Baszler has yet to win a singles championship. She did hold the NXT Women's title on two occasions.
Morgan has reigned as SmackDown Women's champion since defeating Ronda Rousey via Money in the Bank cash-in on July 2. Morgan retained her title over Rousey at SummerSlam last Saturday night in a brief match.
The current card for WWE Clash at the Castle, taking place Saturday, September 3 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, is as follows:
