Lucha Libre Celebration Set For IMPACT's Post-Bound For Glory TV Tapings

Lucha celebration is planned for the post-IMPACT Bound for Glory TV tapings

IMPACT Wrestling's post-Bound For Glory TV tapings will be a Lucha Libre Celebration, the promotion has announced. The show will honour "the tradition and legacy of the high-flying style of professional wrestling that originated in Mexico."

Fans are encouraged to dress like their favourite luchador for the Lucha Fiesta, which will begin at 5 pm local time, two hours before the TV tapings get underway. Talents advertised for the Lucha Libre Celebration include Black Taurus, Laredo Kid, Samuray Del Sol, Juventud Guerrera, and Konnan. 

Black Taurus, Laredo Kid, and Samuray Del Sol have been regulars for IMPACT in recent months. Konnan, meanwhile, has a long history with IMPACT. Juventud hasn't appeared on IMPACT TV since 2006, when the promotion was TNA Wrestling.

The post-Bound for Glory TV tapings will take place at Chicago's Cicero Stadium on Sunday, October 22. The event will be held one day after Bound For Glory at the same venue. Matches advertised for Bound For Glory include: 

  • Alex Shelley (c) vs. Josh Alexander - IMPACT World Championship
  • Trinity (c) vs. Mickie James - Knockouts World Championship
  • Chris Sabin (c) vs. KENTA - X-Division Championship 
  • Will Ospreay vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey
