Luchasaurus Renamed By Christian Cage On AEW Dynamite

Luchasaurus is no more. 

Christian Cage's rechristening ceremony took place on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite and Luchasaurus found himself on the receiving end of a berating from his "father" as he blamed Luchasaurus for The Patriarchy's loss at Full Gear. Luchasaurus was then forced to take a knee and Christian Cage rechristened the former TNT Champion under the new name of 'Killswitch.' 

Nick Wayne then went to take a knee but Christian Cage told him to never kneel for anybody and handed him the nickname 'The Prodigy.' 

Nick Wayne's mother, Shayna, then headed to the ring and there were issues within The Patriarchy that were teased as Killswitch stood between Shayna and Christian Cage. This led to more berating from Christian and he slapped the former Luchasaurus before shoving him which sent Killswitch crashing into Shayna, knocking her over. 

Cage then ordered Killswitch to hit Shayna with a conchairto but the dinosaur hesitated which allowed Adam Copeland to run down to the ring and make the save. The save proved to be disastrous for The Patriarchy and the segment came to an end as Copeland gave Nick Wayne a conchairto in front of the 18-year-old's mother. 

After performing as Judas Devlin in WWE and as Vibora in Lucha Underground, Austin Matelson began to use the 'Luchasaurus' name from 2017 on the indies. He joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019.
