It emerged this week that Marcel Barthel, known as both Ludwig Kaiser and El Grande Americano in WWE, had been arrested and charged on account of battery. It was soon revealed via the affidavit for his arrest that this came from an alleged altercation within an elevator, in which the complainant accused Barthel of attacking him after the complainant had asked him to “have some manners” after kissing a female in the elevator.
It was noted that Kaiser became aware of the warrant for his arrest, returning from Mexico to hand himself in. With Kaiser set for a huge Mask vs. Mask match in the AAA promotion next week, his attorneys have filed a motion for him to be cleared for travel, as revealed by PWInsider.
“Since the initial filing of the Motion to Travel, undersigned counsel communicated with Assistant State Attorney Shaylynne Kotch, who indicated no objection to this motion. Wherefore, for the foregoing reasons, the Defendant respectfully requests this Honorable Court to enter an Order allowing him to travel out of the State of Florida and internationally.”
It has yet to be confirmed whether he will be free to travel for his match on May 30 in Mexico. Kaiser, however, was in Mexico City on Friday for the Serenata for El Grande Americano.
