WWE's expansion of the company's house show schedule may end up becoming a permanent change.
WWE recently announced a house show tour in the United States for summer 2026 that will see the company run 10 non-televised live events from Saturday, July 11 to Saturday, August 30. This marks a change for WWE since the merger with UFC under TKO in September 2023 as the organisation has largely moved away from holding house shows except on European tours or during the holiday period between Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that a more extensive winter house show tour is dependent upon the "financial success" of the summer 2026 tour and how the live events affect talent health. WWE are seemingly looking to hold additional house shows in 2026, though, as Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer noted WWE are already contacting arenas for tours later this year.
WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque noted at a WWE town hall meeting that the company are bringing back house shows to allow younger wrestlers to get more reps in the squared circle and provide the opportunity for talents to experiment in front of different live crowds. There had already been pitches for the expansion of the house show schedule, notably from Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
WrestleVotes Radio noted that select main event wrestlers were approached about working the house shows but they were given the option of declining if they wished. The expectation is between 25 and 30 talents will work each live event.
