WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque have provided an official reason for the expansion of the company's house show schedule.

WWE have largely moved away from running house shows outside of European tours since the WWE-UFC merger under TKO in September 2023, but the organisation announced a 10-show tour of the United States for summer 2026 from Saturday, July 11 to Saturday, August 30.

PWInsider has reported that during a town hall meeting, Nick Khan and Paul Levesque noted to WWE employees that they have discovered house shows are important for young wrestlers to get reps in the ring, and the expanded schedule will also allow wrestlers to experiment in front of different live crowds. Khan and Triple H mentioned the live events will look to strike a balance between established stars performing and younger wrestlers gaining more experience, while the company also wants to find the right balance to avoid setting talents up for injuries.

TKO executives, notably Mark Shapiro, have previously spoken openly about cutting back on house shows, but there was opposition to this strategy, in particular from Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who directly pitched for WWE to hold more live events.

Another change to WWE events since the merger with UFC has seen the average price of tickets double. Ticket prices for the 10-day house show tour in the United States will reportedly be "far more affordable", however.
