Mick Foley's time with All Elite Wrestling won't just be a one-and-done affair.

Foley is set to make his AEW debut at Sunday's Double or Nothing pay-per-view as the co-host of the Buy In with Renee Paquette. AEW CEO Tony Khan revealed during the pre-Double or Nothing media call that Foley will be at a lot of AEW's upcoming pay-per-views, as well as select TV tapings.

"Right now he's working as an on-air host but I also think with Mick Foley, he's a brilliant wrestling mind. He's gonna bring insights and ideas and he's gonna work with the wrestlers and have ideas for the show. So I hope he'll contribute in a number of ways. I know he's interested in helping out in every way he can, including as an ambassador, doing media, hosting the shows. He will be at all the pay-per-views and sometimes at TV too. Not at every show, but at some of the events and always at the pay-per-views for the most part. He's going to be at a lot of the upcoming events, for sure. So I'm very excited to have Mick joining us in AEW and being a part of the team, and I'm sure there's a number of different ways he'll have ideas and things he can do to contribute," Khan stated.

Mick Foley's AEW debut comes after he announced in December 2025 that he was severing ties with WWE due to the company's close links with President Donald Trump. It was noted at the time that Foley's WWE Legends deal expired in June 2026.

There were previously plans for Mick Foley to wrestle in AEW as part of a six-week programme with MJF around the hardcore legend's 60th birthday, but any plans for Foley to come out of retirement were scrapped after he suffered what was believed to be a concussion during in-ring training. MJF has since expressed his issues with Foley, though, and Tony Khan further noted during the media call that if the former WWE Champion ever wanted to wrestle again, the AEW CEO would love for it to be in All Elite Wrestling.

"To have Mick's insight on the show and also backstage is going to be very valuable. Right now we're focused on Mick broadcasting and lending his experience to AEW. So much goodwill in the pro wrestling community exists for Mick Foley, and to have him officially a part of AEW, hopefully that increases everyone's goodwill towards AEW. That's part of the idea," Khan noted.

"I can't speak for Mick Foley as to whether he wants to wrestle or if he's going to wrestle anytime soon, but if he ever does, I would love for him to do it in AEW. I also don't want to put him in a situation in which he'll be uncomfortable. I want him to feel good about this, and I know he's taken so many big hits and had such an amazing career with so many spectacular moments. Physically, I would only ever ask him to wrestle if he felt up to it and he could live up to the physical demands."
