The trend of WWE superstars appearing in outside promotions has continued into this week as Ludwig Kaiser took a trip back home to Germany to appear in former company wXw in a big unannounced surprise.

At Westside Xtreme Wrestling’s Broken Rules show in Hamburg, Germany last night, Monday Night RAW’s Ludwig Kaiser made his presence known as he confronted the reigning wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion Peter Tihanyi following his successful title defence over opponent Bobby Gunns.

Kaiser has a long history in wXw, previously reigning as the Unified wXw Champion amidst a seven year stint with the company in total (the last couple of years consisting of only cameo appearances here and there due to him signing with the NXT UK brand).

Under the new regime in WWE, wrestlers have been given more freedom to appear in other promotions such as TNA, GCW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Marigold, and other independents too. It was announced  this week that fellow RAW star Lyra Valkyria would be competing in the Irish OTT promotion next month, following on from a successful appearance by Finn Balor & JD McDonagh.
