Macaulay Culkin Cancels WWE WrestleMania 36 Plans After Goldberg Wins Universal Championship, Goldberg Responds
SmackDown's top babyface endears himself to the audience...
Feb 28, 2020
Back in December 2018, The McMahon family kicked off an episode of Monday Night Raw in which they declared they were going to give fans what they want moving forward.
At Super ShowDown, WWE tossed the facade of these words firmly in the bin as the company booked 53-year-old Bill Goldberg to defeat "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship.
This has prompted widespread anger within the wrestling world, with some fans going so far as to cancel their WWE Network subscriptions. The most high profile expression of anger, however, came from Home Alone star
Macaulay Culkinwho replied to a tweet from
WWE Creative Humoursaying he had cancelled his tickets to WrestleMania 36.
WWE Creative Humour originally tweeted "Super Showdown was all about building new stars like Brock Lesnar, @Goldberg & The Undertaker #WWESSD," to which Culkin responded, "I've just cancelled my tickets to Tampa Bay."
SmackDown's new top babyface didn't take too kindly to someone not enjoying his victory,
as he fired back: "@IncredibleCulk duly noted dork."
Ultimately, we will find out what the company plans to do with Goldberg soon, as he is scheduled to be on tonight's episode of SmackDown. While WWE is yet to officially announce his plans, he is expected to defend the Universal title against Roman Reigns at
The Showcase Of The Immortals.
