Main Event Of IMPACT Rebellion 2023 Revealed

Josh Alexander vs. Steve Maclin in the main event of IMPACT Rebellion 2023

The main event of IMPACT Wrestling's next pay-per-view, Rebellion, was made official during the promotion's No Surrender IMPACT Plus special on Friday, February 24.

On the show, Steve Maclin defeated Heath, Brian Myers, and PCO in a four-way number one contender's match to earn a shot at the IMPACT World Championship. It was then announced that Maclin will challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Title at Rebellion on April 16 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The show is set to emanate from the Rebel Entertainment Complex.

Alexander and Maclin have never faced each other inside the squared circle. Maclin is currently on an undefeated streak in IMPACT, having not lost since a DQ defeat to Frankie Kazarian on December 1, 2022.

Josh Alexander is the longest-reigning IMPACT World Champion. He has been champion since defeating Moose for the gold at the 2022 edition of Rebellion on April 23, 2022.

Alexander has successfully defended the title against the likes of Alex Shelley, Frankie Kazarian, and Bully Ray. He scored another successful defence at No Surrender, defeating Rich Swann in the main event.
