Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match Set For AEW Dynamite

The Face Of The Revolution Ladder Match Booked For The Go-Home Edition Of AEW Dynamite

Fans were expecting to see an extra-long PPV card ahead of Revolution 2023 due to the 60-minute Iron Man Match between Bryan Danielson and MJF, though Tony Khan looks to be combatting that by adding a major match to Dynamite. A staple of the Revolution PPV - the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, has been brought forward to take place on the go-home episode of Dynamite, likely to avoid an overly lengthy show.

Eight huge names were announced for the match on the February 24 edition of Rampage, including AEW stars such as Konosuke Takeshita, Ortiz, Action Andretti, Powerhouse Hobbs, AR Fox, Sammy Guevara, and Eddie Kingston. There is also quite a surprising addition to the field, as AAA wrestler Komander is set to make his AEW debut. There may be some criticism towards the inclusion of a name outside AEW, instead of an underused competitor like Bandido, Ethan Page, or Juice Robinson, though AEW could be looking to strengthen their relationships with companies like AAA by featuring their talent, following recent issues.

The winner of the match will earn a shot at the TNT Championship, so it was also noted that Samoa Joe, the reigning TNT Champion, will be on commentary during the match. Whether it will be he who defends the gold against the winner of the match remains to be seen, as he is set for a major defence against Wardlow at the March 5 Revolution PPV event.

Also announced for the March 1 Dynamite is Orange Cassidy vs. Big Bill for the AEW All-Atlantic Title, HOOK vs. Matt Hardy for the FTW Championship, Chris Jericho vs. Peter Avalon, and Toni Storm vs. Riho.
