Major Spoiler On AEW's 'One Of The World's Best Wrestlers' Signing At Full Gear

AEW's Full Gear signing has been revealed

All Elite Wrestling have another major surprise planned for Saturday's Full Gear pay-per-view but that surprise has seemingly been revealed.

Tony Khan tweeted on Wednesday night that AEW had "agreed to terms with one of the world's best wrestlers" and the individual will sign their contract in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 18. Names rumoured for the spot included Mercedes Moné, Dolph Ziggler, Ronda Rousey, and Will Ospreay.

According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, All Elite Wrestling's signing will be none other than Will Ospreay.

"I was told Will Ospreay. Now that is a big deal. Huge deal because WWE were actively pursuing him. He is the wrestler of the year. Nobody has put on this level of matches," Zarian said before later adding: "Hey I could be wrong, I'm just relaying what was told to me."

Will Ospreay has had several matches for AEW in 2023, including picking up big wins over Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho at Forbidden Door II and All In. The Commonwealth Kingpin was believed to be under contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling until the end of January 2024 but, if Zarian is to be believed, the two parties have seemingly worked out a deal so he could sign with AEW.

AEW and NJPW are partners and signing with Tony Khan's promotion would allow Ospreay to continue working for New Japan. Ospreay is still the reigning IWGP United Kingdom/United States Champion, although that title will be replaced with a new championship at Wrestle Kingdom 18.
