The March 24 episode of WWE NXT was considered a "terrible" show within the developmental brand, it has been revealed.

While addressing his rant about the episode, Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that even people within NXT didn't think it was a good show this week.

"Oh my God, NXT. You realise that like this NXT show on Tuesday was so ungodly terrible. It was just a horrifically booked show. It was one of those things where I ranted about it, and they clipped it up on the site, and they put it up on the internet, and then you had all these fans, 'It's better than Collision will ever be. It's actually a great show.' Meanwhile, you actually hear from people in NXT that are like, 'Yeah that show's just terrible. It was just terrible,'" Alvarez said.

Pro wrestling fans seemingly didn't consider the March 24 episode of NXT to be as egregious as Alvarez and people within WWE NXT, however. The show has a 6.19 rating on Cagematch and a 3.1 rating on Dropkickd as of the time of writing.

Segments from this week's NXT included Ricky Saints vs. Tony D'Angelo leading to a Fatal 4-Way for the NXT Title being booked for Stand & Deliver, a depressed Johnny Gargano winning the Gauntlet for a shot at the NXT North American Championship after Candice LeRae pushed him onto Shiloh Hill, Tatum Paxley spending the episode hunting down Blake Monroe, and a face-to-face promo exchange between Sol Ruca and Zaria.
