Mariah May Vs. Mina Shirakawa Set For AEW Winter Is Coming 2024

It’s official; AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May will put the title on the line against Mina Shirakawa at Winter is Coming on December 11.

Mariah has so far successfully defended the title five time since defeating mentor Toni Storm for the gold at All In Wembley on August 25. Although Mariah and Mina have shared the ring dozens of times during their Club Venus days in Stardom, the two have never faced off in singles competition.

The former best friends collided at Full Gear on November 23, with May attempting to sneak attack Mina to no avail during a champagne title celebration for ‘The Glamour’. However, May got her hands on Mina during a sit-down interview on the November 27 edition of Dynamite, bottling her former ally in a cowardly attack.

This will be the fifth annual Winter is Coming series of TV specials by AEW, with the 2024 editions of Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision set to be broadcast from Kansas, and St. Louis, Missouri on December 11 and 12 (Collision to air on December 14).
