Marko Stunt Talks About Fan Backlash In AEW

On AEW's YouTube channel...

All Elite Wrestling announced on their YouTube channel that this week's episode of Dynamite would be headlined by a Six-Man Tag Team match between Jurassic Express and Best Friends & Orange Cassidy.

As part of the hype package for the match, Marko Stunt explained that he found it difficult to deal with fan backlash after his debut in AEW. Mr. Fun Size said that he was "very depressed" until the end of November and didn't feel like he should be wrestling. However, his friends helped him with his mental health and he is continuing to live his dream.

Stunt said: "When I first showed up in AEW, they didn’t understand why I was there, they didn’t understand why I got booked, or why I got hired or anything because why would this five feet one kid from Olive Branch, Mississippi be on national TV? I did not take it well at first. The first couple of months I was very depressed because I didn’t feel like I should be wrestling."

He later added: "Whether they jump on board with me, whether they still dislike me, whatever, I’m still going to be here, I’m still going to be Marko Stunt in AEW. I’ll still do my thing. You have a passion for something you go out there and you live that passion, you grow with that and you make yourself better at that, and you make that your thing and you be the best you can be at that, who’s going to tell you no? Who’s going to be able to tell you no if you’re the best at that? You make yourself the best at that. You live your dreams."
