Report: Update On The Hardy Boyz' WWE Status

What's next for the decorated tag team?

Since returning to WWE TV on the November 25th episode of Monday Night Raw, Matt Hardy has been sporadically used by the company. He has only appeared on three of the seven episodes that have aired since his return, and when Hardy has competed, he has been squashed by his opponents.

Despite not being on TV, the former SmackDown Tag Team champion has kept himself busy as he seemingly prepares for his WWE exit. The first episode of FREE THE DELETE was released on October 25th as Hardy has revived the Broken Universe.

According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Hardy's deal expires on March 1st 2020 and he is yet to sign a new contract. The major hurdle in negotiations is reportedly how the former Woken one will be used by the company, as opposed to any issues with salary.

While Matt may leave the company on March 1st, Brother Nero will remain in WWE for a while longer. WWE has added time onto Jeff Hardy's contract because of his ongoing personal health problems. Jeff has not appeared on TV since May as he required knee surgery, but he has also been arrested twice in recent months. Hardy was first arrested in July for public intoxication while in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and was arrested again in October for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
