Matt Cardona Vs. Trevor Murdoch Set For NWA Hard Times III
Cardona will attempt to reclaim the title he was forced to give up in June
The main event for NWA's Hard Times III pay-per-view is set, as Trevor Murdoch will defend his NWA World's Heavyweight Championship against former champion Matt Cardona.
During the August 30 edition of NWA Powerrr, the legendary Ricky Steamboat was going to make the match announcement with Murdoch, when Cardona came out and did it himself.
Cardona was forced to relinquish the NWA Title at the Alwayz Ready pay-per-view on June 11 after he suffered a torn bicep. Per the storyline, Cardona and his entourage were all granted future title shots if he agreed to relinquish the gold.
The vacant title was then put on the line in a four-way, which Murdoch won to begin his second reign. Cardona had ended Murdoch's first reign by beating him on the March 8 episode of Powerrr.
Hard Times III will take place on November 12.
