Matt Hardy Gives Update On Jeff Hardy's Health

Current AEW star Matt Hardy has provided an update on his brother Jeff's health. 

The Charismatic Enigma has been absent from AEW television since being arrested for DUI in June. AEW Owner Tony Khan decreed that Jeff would not be able to return to the company until he completed a substance abuse rehabilitation programme and demonstrated that he could maintain his sobriety.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Matt was asked by Bully Ray how Jeff was doing and responded with: 

"He seems to be doing really well. The conversations I've had with him have been really, really good, and the most important barometer, I think, of all these things, is that his wife Beth is super happy with his progress and where he's at in life, and I think that's probably most important".

Matt stressed that he just wants his brother to be happy and healthy, even if that means he doesn't return to the ring, saying:

"I just want him to get better, even if Jeff never wrestles another day in his life. I want him to be healthy, and it's important for him to be healthy and happy, because he has two beautiful daughters, he has a very loving wife who has stuck by his side through thick and through thin, and the most important thing I want for my brother is for him to be healthy".

Recent reports suggest that Jeff may not be back in AEW for some time. He has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for October 19 (in relation to his June arrest).
