Matt Hardy's AEW Contract Expiring Within Weeks

Matt Hardy's AEW deal expiring

Matt Hardy might not be All Elite for much longer.

The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since his debut in March 2020. According to Fightful Select, though, Hardy's contract is set to expire at some point in March. Both sides have been in contact about the deal but there is no word on if Matt's contract will be extended.

Jeff Hardy's AEW deal was originally set to expire at the same time as his brother's but inactivity and injuries has led to time being added to the former WWE Champion's contract.

Matt Hardy was one of AEW's biggest signings in 2020, debuting on the same night as Brodie Lee was revealed to be the Exalted One. Hardy initially utilised his Broken character before he moved to a range of other gimmicks, including Big Money Matt. He has played more of a manager role in 2024, accompanying Jeff Hardy to the ring. Neither have been on TV in recent weeks after Jeff sustained a broken nose following a botched Shooting Star Press from Sammy Guevara.
