AEW Officially Signs Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada is ‘All Elite’ after signing with AEW

After months of speculation, Kazuchika Okada revealed where he’s taking the next steps in his career, when the generational ‘Rainmaker’ arrived in All Elite Wrestling on the March 6 edition of Dynamite.

After The Young Bucks beat down Eddie Kingston in-ring following a disagreement, the iconic ‘coin drop’ played, with Okada making his way to the ring, only to side with The Bucks and level Kingston with a Rainmaker. Nicholas Jackson then announced that Okada was the newest member of The Elite, replacing the ‘fired’ Kenny Omega.

AEW President Tony Khan later took to X/Twitter confirming that Okada was officially ‘All Elite’:

“He is now business partners with @youngbucks in The Elite, and tonight it's official: @rainmakerXokada is ALL ELITE! Welcome to @AEW, Kazuchika Okada! #AEWDynamite”

Okada departed New Japan Pro-Wrestling in February after the expiration of his contract, with WWE, AEW, and TNA amongst the parties interested in securing his signature. AEW had long been thought to have won the race to secure Okada’s services, with reports suggesting the multi-time World Champion could make his debut as part of Big Business on March 13, before Tony Khan hinted at the pre-AEW Revolution media call that Okada could be in line for the March 6 show.
