Matt Riddle Advertised For Upcoming MLW Show

Matt Riddle has already been officially announced for a return to professional wrestling in 2024 after his release from WWE earlier this year, but if leaks are to be believed, he looks set for a match in MLW as soon as January 6, 2024. 

During a Battleground Championship Wrestling show, fans in attendance were handed promotional material for the upcoming MLW Kings of Colosseum event on January 6 at the 2300 Arena. There was one particular individual that stood out above all others, though, and that was Matt Riddle. 

X user William Gardner posted pictures of the fliers on social media, which list Matt Riddle as facing Jacob Fatu in a first-time-ever match, receiving the top billing at the event per the promotional poster. There has been no official announcement as of yet from the company, but MLW released a statement recently hyping up news of a free agent. R

Riddle’s no-compete clause following his WWE release expires this month, so it is very likely that MLW are awaiting that before making any sort of announcement. Riddle was released by WWE in September as part of post-UFC merger cuts.
