Matt Riddle In Talks With Multiple Companies

Matt Riddle's representatives in talks with pro wrestling companies

There is plenty of interest in Matt Riddle.

The former United States Champion was released by WWE on September 22 as part of major post-merger cuts to the talent roster. Riddle's release was very much perceived as him running out of chances within the company as he was not brought back to TV after he accused a police officer at JFK airport of sexual assault. This came after officers spoke to Riddle as he was allegedly intoxicated following a flight.

Riddle was previously off WWE TV in late 2022 after failing a drugs test and being sent to company-mandated rehab.

Despite his problems outside of the ring, Riddle might not be a free agent for very long after his WWE non-compete comes to an end in December. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Riddle's representatives have already held talks with a number of pro wrestling, MMA and boxing companies. Which companies Riddle has spoken to is unknown outside of PFL and Bare Knuckle Boxing, however.

Meltzer also noted that Riddle's non-compete clause from WWE does extend to MMA and boxing.
