Matt Riddle Reveals Shane McMahon Thanked Him For Not Punching Goldberg At WWE SummerSlam 2019

They still aren't bros...

Matt Riddle and Goldberg have done little to hide the disdain they hold for one another. The King Of Bros has previously labelled the former Universal Champion as the "worst wrestler in the business," while Goldberg has described Riddle as like "a booger that gets caught up your nose."

The two Superstars also had a heated confrontation backstage at SummerSlam 2019 in which Bill told Matt he wasn't his bro and that they had some talking to do.

Riddle provided additional details on the incident during a recent edition of The Bump as he said Shane McMahon thanked him for not punching the WWE Hall Of Famer.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion said: "Shane McMahon was watching from down the hall like, 'Oh no, these guys are gonna fight.' And after, Shane was like, 'Thanks for not swinging on Goldberg.' Could you imagine? Matt Riddle punches Goldberg unconscious in the back. I can't do that. That is not a stallion move. You get a match set up and beat him in front of millions. That's a Stallion move."
