McKenzie Mitchell Released By WWE
McKenzie Mitchell reveals she is no longer with WWE
Amidst the reports of WWE laying off more corporate employees in a second round of firings following the TKO merger, there has been an on-screen individual who has also been released from the WWE.
Now former WWE personality McKenzie Mitchell herself has announced that she was released from the promotion. Mitchell worked as an interviewer and also on shows such as The Bump. She looked at the positives in a tweet when talking about her time with the company;
“Today I was released by WWE. I met my husband, moved cross country from CT to FL for WWE NXT (a place I’ve always considered home), and met friends that became like family. I’ve always said and firmly believe in ‘when door closes, another opens.’”
Many WWE talents such as Bayley, Wade Barrett, and her husband Vic Joseph have posted on social media to both celebrate her time with the company, and to share sadness at her leaving. It isn’t currently known why WWE came to this decision, and whether it was related to the other lay-offs.
