Reason Why CM Punk Hasn’t Spoke Out About AEW

CM Punk is not allowed to talk about AEW

CM Punk was fired about AEW a few months back following an alleged backstage altercation involving both Jack Perry and Tony Khan at the AEW All In 2023 event, an incident which Khan described as leaving him scared for his life. The exact details of the ruckus haven’t emerged, and it doesn’t look like it will come from CM Punk’s end if it ever does. This looks to be the case for the infamous “Brawl Out” incident too, in which Punk had a backstage “fight” with members of The Elite.

The reason why fans haven’t heard anything from CM Punk’s camp about his AEW exit has been revealed by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It is stated that CM Punk and others involved have signed Non Disclosure Agreements, preventing anyone from talking about the situation and other parties in public.

Tony Khan has refused to speak on CM Punk recently too, stating outright that he was “not legally allowed” to do so, which seems to hint towards him being bound by an NDA.
