Michael Elgin Planning To Try Stand-Up Comedy

Michael Elgin trying his hand at something new

Michael Elgin could be set to transition to a new career.

Taking to Facebook, Elgin revealed he is going to try stand-up comedy.

"I'm putting this out there so I follow through. I'm going to give stand up a chance. Yes I am. Going to do some open mics soon. If you know me know me, I can be pretty funny. So let's see if it translates. Plus as a wrestler I'm a story teller…..here we go," Elgin wrote.

Elgin has been largely out of professional wrestling since he was accused of sexual misconduct during the Speaking Out movement in 2020, which led to his exit from IMPACT Wrestling. He has only had four matches on the indies since then and he embarked on a three-month tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH earlier this year. He was pulled from his final two shows due to an issue with police, though.

Bodyslam.net reported that Elgin had been arrested for stealing protein powder, which Elgin denied, noting he was questioned by police about an unspecified problem. Elgin has not been brought back to NOAH since.
