Mick Foley Critical Of Drew McIntyre's Chair Shots On WWE Raw

McIntyre hit Shanky 20 times with the chair

Mick Foley has indicated the amount of chair shots delivered by Drew McIntyre during WWE Monday Night Raw was too many for the situation.

McIntyre interrupted an in-ring birthday celebration segment being held for Jinder Mahal on Raw. The Modern Day Maharaja stood with Veer and Shanky and was bragging about how the trio had taken McIntyre out of the Money In The Bank Ladder Match on Sunday, only for the Scotsman to head to the ring with a chair.

After attacking all three men, the former WWE Champion absolutely decimated Shanky with the chair as Mahal and Veer watched on from the ramp. The live crowd in Dallas, Texas, counted along as McIntyre hit Shanky 20 times with the steel chair.

Foley has previously indicated he is a big fan of McIntyre but, as a wrestler who knows only too well the nuances of delivering and taking steel chair shots, believes the amount delivered by McIntyre should be reserved for building up only the hottest, most epic of wrestling rivalries.

The WWE Hall Of Famer wrote on Twitter: "Big fan of Drew’s…but 20 chair shots should either be done to build a feud of epic proportions…or they shouldn’t be done at all #RAW."

McIntyre also took to Twitter after the segment, to send a warning to his former 3MB partner, writing: "If I did this to him, what do you think I’m going to do to you @JinderMahal? #WWERaw."
