Mickie James Pulled From IMPACT Sacrifice Due To Injury

Mickie James will not be at IMPACT Sacrifice due to injury

A last-minute change has been made to tonight’s IMPACT Wrestling Sacrifice IMPACT Plus special, with Knockouts World Champion Mickie James pulled from her scheduled title defence against Jordynne Grace due to injury concerns.

The nature of James’ injury hasn’t been disclosed, with IMPACT Wrestling announcing that the Knockouts World Championship situation will be addressed at Sacrifice.

James took to Twitter to express her frustration at the situation, tweeting the following:

“I came all the way to Windsor to defend the @IMPACTWRESTLING Knockouts World Championship against @JordynneGrace at #Sacrifice Tomorrow night. Now I can’t do that & I don’t know what to say. I’m so sorry to let you all down. This. This was supposed to be a MOTY night.”

On the go-home edition of IMPACT Wrestling on March 23, Grace accidentally took the champ down with a spear following a Mickie James & Tommy Dreamer vs. Bully Ray & Masha Slamovich tag team match. As IMPACT bulk record their TV, this angle was shot several weeks back, and it is unknown if IMPACT will use this angle to explain James’ injury.

Mickie won the title from Grace at Hard to Kill on January 13, ending the veteran star’s Last Rodeo campaign, and Sacrifice was set to be the official rematch.
