Mickie James Wins Knockouts Championship At IMPACT Wrestling Bound For Glory

And New!

Mickie James is Knockouts Champion once again.

'Hardcore Country' challenged Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory on October 23 and after a back and forth, personal contest, James left Sam's Town in Las Vegas, Nevada with the gold.

After James somehow managed to kick out of a Queen's Gambit from Purrazzo down the stretch, the 42-year-old took advantage of a ref bump and caught Deonna with a Mick Kick while the Knockouts Champion was holding a steel chair, sending the weapon into Purrazzo's face. Shortly after, Mickie hit a second Tornado DDT for the 1-2-3.

With the win, James becomes a four-time Knockouts Champion, having previously held the title for a combined 241 days.

James had spent the last five years with WWE but she returned to IMPACT for a third time at Slammiversary following her release from Vince McMahon's company.

'Hardcore Country' immediately began a feud with Deonna Purrazzo in a rivalry that has featured a barn brawl at James' home and much more.
