Mike Tyson Explains Why He Saved Chris Jericho On AEW: Dynamite

The pair were previously enemies

After The Pinnacle blindsided Chris Jericho and dragged him to the ring on last week's edition of Dynamite, an unlikely man in Mike Tyson made the save for The Painmaker. The former Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion then pummelled Shawn Spears and drove off the rest of MJF's faction as The Inner Circle stood tall to close out the segment.

Iron Mike and Chris Jericho, of course, had beef going back 11 years after Tyson sucker-punched Y2J on a 2010 episode of Monday Night Raw. They then rekindled that animosity last year after Double Or Nothing, but they have seemingly buried the hatchet.

Tyson addressed why he saved Jericho on AEW's Road To Dynamite show and he explained he couldn't see the point in remaining enemies with someone he had known for so long.

"Of course, everybody knows in the wrestling world that I have a long relationship with Mr. Chris Jericho and what's the use of making enemies with someone you've knew so long," Tyson said.

Iron Mike's new friendship with Chris Jericho will ultimately continue to blossom on tonight's episode of Dynamite as he will be the special guest enforcer for The Demo God's match against Dax Harwood.
