Minoru Suzuki Appears At AEW All Out, Takes Down Jon Moxley

"Murder Grandpa" steps through The Forbidden Door

MMA pioneer and multiple time IWGP titlist Minoru Suzuki appeared at AEW's All Out on Sunday night in Chicago, attacking Jon Moxley following Moxley's victory over Satoshi Kojima.

After a long, hard-hitting battle, Moxley finished off Kojima with two Paradigm Shifts. Seconds following the bell, Moxley's "Wild Thing" theme shut off, replaced by Suzuki's New Japan theme "Kaze Ni Nare." Moxley expressed shock as Suzuki made his entrance.

The two stood toe to toe in the ring, before exchanging a series of forearm strikes. The fight escalated to where Suzuki snared Moxley into a rear naked choke, before depositing him with a Gotch-style piledriver.

Moxley and Suzuki are by no means strangers to one another. Moxley successfully defended the IWGP United States championship against Suzuki at New Beginning Osaka in February of 2020. Previously, the two faced off on opposite sides of tag team matches on both nights of New Beginning Sapporo.

In New Japan, Suzuki is a former Intercontinental champion, Tag Team champion, and two time NEVER Openweight champion. He also won the 2011 G1 Tag League with Lance Archer.
