Following five years with the promotion, Miro is gone from All Elite Wrestling.

Miro was removed from the AEW roster page today and Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported the former Rusev is now gone from All Elite Wrestling. The two sides reached a mutual agreement on his exit from AEW.

A parting of the ways between AEW and Miro appeared to be on the horizon for some time as the 39-year-old requested his release from the promotion in 2024, although his request was not granted at the time.

Miro joined All Elite Wrestling in September 2020, a few months after his WWE release. After initially having a video game streamer gimmick, Miro rose in popularity and prominence in 2021 as 'The Redeemer', a run which led to him having a 140-day run with the TNT Championship as 'God's Favourite Champion.'

It was downhill from there for Miro and AEW, though, and he only worked 11 matches after November 2021. He hadn't wrestled for the promotion at all since Worlds End 2023 and reports had noted that the two sides often didn't see eye to eye on creative matters. Miro battled injuries in 2024 as well, but he also spent time in Bulgaria following his divorce from CJ Perry (AKA Lana).
