A surprising former WWE talent will make their debut for All Japan Pro-Wrestling in the near future.
It was announced during AJPW's show from Korakuen Hall on February 9 that XYON - formerly Xyon Quinn in WWE - will be a part of the A Block in All Japan's Champion Carnival. AJPW's round-robin tournament will run from April 9 until May 18.
Joining XYON in the A Block are several AJPW stars, including Kento Miyahara, AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Jun Saito, and Davey Boy Smith Jr. Talents announced for the B Block include former Triple Crown champions Yuma Aoyagi and Yuma Anzai, as well as European independent wrestling standout Aigle Blanc.
Real name Daniel Vidot, XYON wrestled for WWE from 2018 until his release in 2024. He spent much of his time in NXT but moved to the main roster as a free agent in 2023. Xyon Qunn only had two matches after becoming a free agent, with his final match being a six-second loss to Bron Breakker.
XYON wrestled for TNA in August 2024, appearing on Xplosion in losses to Steve Maclin and Sami Callihan. The 35-year-old also returned to rugby league, playing for DC Cavalry in the USARL's north-east Rugby League United conference.
Vidot has since played for the United States' rugby league side, making his debut for the team during the USA's tour of South Africa in 2024. He will stick with rugby league ahead of the Champion Carnival as Vidot has been named in the USA Hawks side that will play Greece in Las Vegas on February 26 and February 28.
