MJF & Becky Lynch Speak On Working Together For 'Happy Gilmore 2'

It isn’t often that fans get to see much AEW and WWE crossover, but it happened on the set of 'Happy Gilmore 2'. Both AEW’s MJF and WWE’s Becky Lynch were revealed to be on the cast for the movie, with MJF taking up the role of one of Happy Gilmore’s (Adam Sandler) children. 

In an interview with Variety, Lynch touched on interacting with MJF, noting some of their good conversations that they had when filming. 

“I did (come across MJF). You know, a very nice boy. Great chats. Of course, he knows he’d lose at [a promo battle], but we had great chats. Unfortunately, it was way before this happened, but I feel like he would completely agree with everything that I’m saying about Lyra.”

MJF responded to Lynch on X, echoing her comments but disagreeing with the notion that he’d lose in a promo battle. 

“Agree with Becks fully on Lyra, she seems like a horrible person and clearly a gross poor. Enjoyed my time with “the man” on set. A very nice girl and an upstanding citizen. However….. not too sure about her thoughts on a potential promo battle.”

This isn’t the first time someone has issued a promo battle challenge to the former AEW World Champion, as MJF & Bully Ray Dudley traded a war of words online on this topic several months back.
