MJF Announces "The Labours Of Jericho" On AEW: Dynamite

MJF has revealed the obstacles Chris Jericho will have to overcome to earn a rematch against him.

Le Champion has been after a rematch against MJF for a little while and Friedman named his terms during a sit-down on last night's edition of AEW: Dynamite. The Salt Of The Earth recalled Jericho making Jon Moxley wrestle Inner Circle members ahead of their AEW World Title match at Revolution 2020 and MJF noted he decided to take that blueprint and make it better.

He announced The Painmaker will have to overcome the five labours of Jericho to earn a rematch. The first four will be opponents of MJF's choosing and each match will have a stipulation. The fifth labour will be a one on one match with Friedman. 

Jericho hastily agreed to the stipulation and proclaimed himself as the God Of War in AEW. MJF stopped the Inner Circle leader from leaving the ring, though, and noted the agreement would not be finalised until Jericho shook his hand. Le Champion obliged before he refused to let go and decked Friedman with a Judas Effect.

While MJF claimed Jericho was his inspiration for the labours, the stipulations are similar to the obstacles Friedman put in front of Cody Rhodes ahead of their Revolution match last year. To earn the match he so dearly craved, Cody had to defeat Wardlow in a Cage match and then be whipped 10 times by MJF live on Dynamite. Cody also couldn't lay a finger on MJF before the pay-per-view or the match would be called off.
