MJF Dealing With Multiple Injuries Following AEW Full Gear

MJF suffering from injuries post AEW Full Gear

MJF is dealing with injuries.

The AEW World Champion had a storyline quadriceps injury for the main event of AEW Full Gear but Maxwell Jacob Friedman ended up sustaining two legitimate injuries during the title match against Jay White.

According to WrestlePurists, MJF is "legitimately pretty beat up" following Full Gear. The AEW World Champion injured his hip during the Elbow Drop to the outside and he had to have his hip popped back into place following the match. Friedman also hurt his shoulder while taking the top rope Uranage from Jay White.

Despite the injuries, MJF won't be missing from AEW TV. He won't be wrestling, though, and the plan is to feature MJF in a "non-wrestling capacity" while he heals up in time for Worlds End on December 30. The pay-per-view will take place in MJF's favourite place on Earth - Long Island, New York.

MJF managed to retain the AEW World Championship in the main event of Full Gear, defeating Jay White following a Dynamite diamond ring shot. One future opponent for the AEW World Champion will be Samoa Joe, who helped him retain the ROH World Tag Team Titles over The Gunns on the Full Gear pre-show.
