More Details On Why The Revival Asked For WWE Release Revealed

Tag team wrestling on Raw needs to fix up and look sharp...

Earlier this week the wrestling world was taken aback by the rumour and innuendo surrounding The Revival reportedly asking for their WWE release. BodySlam.net initially reported that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson asked the company to let them go before Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported that there were genuine concerns behind the scenes in WWE that the Raw stars could ask to leave for pastures new.

Then, Dave Meltzer reported that Dash and Dawson did indeed ask for their release from WWE - while dressed in their gear immediately following their match against Lucha House Party on Raw.

Now, thanks to Pro Wrestling Sheet, we know that one of the reasons The Revival asked to leave WWE is down to how tag team wrestling is dealt with on Monday nights. For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Pro Wrestling Sheet have learned: "We’re told the duo is frustrated about the lack of promos, backstage segments and direction of the division. Not just for themselves, but the entire division … such as the tag match on Monday being used as a cutaway segment."

Allegedly, The Revival's feelings on the matter boiled over after Raw Tag Team Champions, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable, weren't featured on this week's Raw at all.

At this time, their request has been denied.
