More On Black Taurus Signing With ROH/AEW

There is more information on Black Taurus leaving AAA for AEW/ROH

After competing on both ROH and AEW programming over the last couple of months, it has been revealed that the now former AAA star Black Taurus has signed with Tony Khan’s promotions.

More information on this signing has been provided by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, who has given details on some issues regarding the “Black Taurus” name. This stems from AAA having the rights to the Black Taurus name, and seemingly preventing him from using it elsewhere going forwards. To avoid any complications after AAA failed to find a compromise with AEW, it looks like Tony Khan will be going ahead with repackaging and renaming him.

There were issues between Black Taurus and AAA on the way out, with Meltzer stating that “AAA made it very difficult for Taurus and badly hurt the relationship between the sides.” Additionally, Taurus was asking for “more money than AAA said their market could support”, so the move was made to AEW.

Thus far, Taurus has competed twice in ROH and AEW, both times in a losing effort to El Hijo Del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Title.
