Motor City Machine Guns Wanted A Traditional Tag Match With FTR In AEW

Motor City Machine Guns wanted two-on-two tag match with FTR in AEW

One of the more eyebrow raising booking decisions of 2022 came heading into All Out 2022, when All Elite Wrestling brought in the legendary Motor City Machine Guns from IMPACT to team with Jay Lethal against the trio of FTR and Wardlow.

Fans were hoping we’d get to see FTR and The Guns clash in a traditional tag team affair, and during a virtual signing with Captain’s Corner, MCMG’s Chris Sabin held the same view:

“I think it’s possible one day (MCMG vs. FTR). Obviously, we thought it was gonna happen in AEW. It turned into a six-man tag which was fine. But, I think it’s possible one day. I’d love to have a match with those guys. I think they’re insanely talented and they have such a cool style because they like old school in today’s atmosphere and I think that’s really cool, makes them stand out. They’re both cool guys, great wrestlers. I think it’d be awesome,” said Sabin.

The Guns are hailed as one of the greatest tag teams of a generation, and a traditional tag encounter with FTR would be seen by many as a legitimate dream match.
