Moustache Mountain Win WWE NXT UK Tag Team Title

Almost three years after they first fought for the gold, Moustache Mountain are finally NXT UK Tag Team Champions. 

The team of Tyler Bate and Trent Seven defeated Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley) for the title in the main event of the Thursday, December 9 edition of NXT UK. 

The champions tried to hang onto the gold down the stretch but Trent Seven decked Stoker with a Birminghammer onto Howley. Bate then followed up with the Spiral Tap to both members of Pretty Deadly before he covered Howley for the victory. 

Thursday was the second time Moustache Mountain have held tag team gold in WWE. They briefly held the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2018, defeating The Undisputed ERA's Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong for the gold. They would then drop the title back to the UE a couple of weeks later.

The tag title win also makes Bate the first NXT UK Triple Crown Champion, with The Big Strong Boi having previously held the NXT UK Title and Heritage Cup Championship.
