Mr. Kennedy is one of the biggest ‘what ifs’ in WWE history, being primed for a main event run before being let go in 2009.

Kennedy’s exit was believed to have been facilitated due to complaints from Randy Orton and John Cena over his safeness in the ring, and since that day Kennedy has never again stepped foot in a WWE ring. However, during a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Kennedy stated he would return to the company if possible:

"I didn’t want to, I swear to God, I had no desire [to return during his prime]. I think that I never wanted to blow the bridge up completely, but I really had no desire. When I was at TNA, I was like, I'll never go back there. I'll never work for them again. Now it's changed. I would definitely [go back] now," stated Kennedy.

A former WWE United States Champion and Money in the Bank winner, Kennedy was slated to be revealed as Vince McMahon’s kayfabe son and would have inevitably received a major push into the world championship scene. After his exit, Kennedy would join TNA and would go on to win the TNA World Championship on two occasions under the ‘Mr. Anderson’ name.
