Mr Kennedy Was Open To Surprise WWE Royal Rumble Appearance

Mr Kennedy would take the opportunity if it was presented to him.

The men's 2024 WWE Royal Rumble match featured a few surprise entrants, including the return of Andrade, a strong showing by NXT star Bron Breakker, and a comedic moment involving commentator Pat McAfee.

Former WWE Mr Kennedy (AKA Ken Anderson) did not show up in the match, though he was open to the idea.

Speaking with Cheap Heat Productions prior to the Royal Rumble, Anderson noted that he would return to the company if they wanted him to be part of the match.

"Yeah, definitely. I would consider it. We'll just leave it at that. With that being said, I am really excited to see the Rumble. It's my favourite match of the year. It always has been," he said.

The 47-year-old wrestled for WWE between 2005 and 2009. He managed one Rumble appearance in that time, entering the 2008 match at number 23 and lasting thirteen-and-a-half minutes.

He eliminated Shawn Michaels in that time, but was himself eliminated by Batista, the man he clashed with in a World Heavyweight Championship match at the previous year's event (which he lost).

Anderson previously noted that he was asked by WWE Producer Daivari about potentially being a surprise Rumble entrant several years ago, but turned it down as he considered himself out-of-shape at the time.
