A 'much worse' plan for the Cleopatra Golden Egg involvement at WWE Survivor Series 2021 was reportedly nixed by the Red Notice team.

As previously noted, as a part of a lucrative deal with The Rock's newest Netflix movie, Red Notice, WWE featured the Cleopatra Golden Egg across Survivor Series and the following Raw, running an angle which saw it stolen, with Austin Theory eventually revealed as the culprit.

The cross-over was reportedly worth a seven-figure number to WWE but, according to Fightful Select, the company's initial creative around involving the egg was shut down.

It is reported that WWE initially wanted to involve the Golden Egg in the 24/7 Championship scene, a plan a source described as 'much worse with the stakes much lower'. The teams associated with The Rock and Red Notice immediately said this idea wouldn't suffice.

Vince McMahon's involvement in the angle ended up being used as a 'make-good' between the two sides, with the WWE Chairman's inclusion adding more significance to the story and the cross-over.
