A multi-time World Champion is set to make their WWE in-ring debut soon.
With WWE SummerSlam 2026 just a few weeks away, it looks as though WWE are going to pull the trigger on a long simmering feud, with former NWA and TNA World Champion Nick Aldis set to finally compete in a WWE ring against GUNTHER.
Rumours of a match between the two have been building in recent weeks, stemming from the two having multiple verbal and physical confrontations across WWE programming. A new report from PWInsider states that the match is ‘100% set’ for SummerSlam in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with WWE sources allegedly confirming the plans were set for the bout.
Aldis has been with WWE since 2023, briefly working as a backstage producer on a handshake deal before signing full-time and being instated as the on-screen General Manager of SmackDown that October.
Prior to starting his WWE career, Aldis most notably wrestled for the NWA, reigning as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion on two occasions with an accumulated 1,309 days as champion - the sixth longest combined reigns in NWA history. Aldis is also a one-time TNA World Champion, having held the title for 128 days under his Magnus persona during his run between 2008 and 2015.
