Nikki Bella Could Be Close To WWE Return

Nikki Bella could be close to a WWE return, having missed several months due to injury.

The WWE Hall of Famer was has been out of action since March 2026 after breaking her ankle during a tag match on WWE SmackDown, with Nikki later undergoing surgery to correct the issue.

A report from Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select stated that Bella’s name has been brought up in recent WWE creative meetings, indicating that a return could be on the cards in the near future. The report also states that this is the first time Nikki has been brought up in creative discussions since WrestleMania 42, with Nikki and sister Brie originally slated to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at the show prior to Nikki’s injury.

The former two-time WWE Divas Champion returned to the company in January 2025 at the Royal Rumble, her first in-ring appearance for WWE since the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Nikki subsequently embarked on a singles run in the company from July 2025 until reuniting with sister Brie in early 2026, making Nikki’s first extended in-ring run in the company since 2018.
