Ring of Honor presented their first PPV of the year on March 31, with Supercard of Honor airing live from Los Angeles, California.

Heading into the show, we knew that the night would end with new ROH World Tag team Champions, with the classic titles belts retired and the championships vacated after the tragic passing of Jay Briscoe earlier this year.

With the new straps hanging in the air five of the best teams from across ROH, AEW, and NJPW fought in the first ever Reach for the Sky ladder match, but in the end it was The Lucha Brothers who would walk away victorious, with the team of Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix starting their first reign with the ROH World Tag Team Championships.

As expected, it was a high-impact extreme affair, with ladders, tables, and bodies broken all over the ringside area after scenes of pure carnage. The ending saw Penta wipe out Dante Martin with a Mexican Destroyer off of a propped ladder through four tables at ringside, as Fenix fought off an attack by The Kingdom to grab the titles.

Post-match, Mark Briscoe came out to congratulate the new champions, as did former champions FTR.

The Tag Titles weren’t the only championships to change hands, as ‘The Wrestler’ Katsuyori Shibata gave Wheeler Yuta a lesson he wouldn’t forget, as the New Japan legend manhandled the BCC member to win the ROH PURE Championship.

Shibata was on the front foot for the majority of the match, forcing Yuta into two ropebreaks and other infractions. Yuta tried everything to come back into the bout, but Shibata was too much for him to handle, with Shibata eventually getting the win after a stiff PK and the 1-2-3
