Multiple Title Matches Set For NJPW Sakura Genesis

Multiple title matches have been made official for New Japan Pro-Wrestling's next major show - Sakura Genesis on April 8. 

In the main event, Kazuchika Okada will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against SANADA. Cold Skull earned the title shot by winning the New Japan Cup, defeating Bullet Club's David Finlay in the final earlier this week. SANADA has received a push in recent weeks, debuting a new finisher and switching factions from Los Ingobernables de Japon to Just Five Guys.

The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title will also be on the line when the newest member of TMDK in Robbie Eagles challenges Hiromu Takahashi for the title.

The IWGP Tag Team Champions will be defended by YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto of Bishamon too against Aussie Open at Sakura Genesis. The two teams clashed during World Tag League in 2022 and they renewed hostilities during the New Japan Cup.

In the final title match announced for Sakura Genesis, Zack Sabre Jr. will defend the NJPW World Television Championship against Shota Umino. Sabre was eliminated from the New Japan Cup by Umino to set up their title clash.
